Our Chairman, Shri. Ram Kanwar Gupta has been associated with Ramjas Foundation since 1942-43 and became a member of the Managing Committee in 1956. He remained as Hony. Secretary of the Managing Committee for 35 years and was elevated to the Chairmanship of the Managing Committee.

Shri. Ram Kanwar Gupta is the eldest and the oldest member of the Ramjas Foundation. He has dedicated himself for the cause of education and is associated with the happy Education Movement. He established a family trust by donating 3 buildings and started two nursery and primary unaided co-education schools in the walled city. The educational standard of both these schools is excellent.

Sh. Ram Kanwar Gupta's brainchild, to introduce unaided schools was designed to impart quality education to children. He also started a Day Boarding School for the wards of working parents so that the students may remain for longer hours under the supervision of trained teachers, providing a balanced nutritive lunch, morning breakfast as well as evening snacks prepared on the school premises under the supervision of dieticians. Students are also provided with sports and other co-curricular activities for the all-round development of their personalities. Small students do not need to carry their bags and the homework etc. is completed in school.

Shri. Ram Kanwar Gupta has also created & registered a charitable trust. The said trust is giving seven scholarships of Rs. 500/- each per month to seven students of Ramjas School, Pusa Road from classes VI to XII. The trust also gives 9 awards of Rs. 2000/- each to students who secure first position in CBSE XII class examination in different streams in all four Ramjas unaided Schools annually.

Another big contribution is the development of the Ramjas Sports Complex in 35 acres of land to provide various Sports facilities under expert coaches. Adventure activities like Mountaineering, Trekking and Jungle Camps were also introduced by Shri. Ram Kanwar Gupta.

The development of the new school building and the maintenance of the Anand Parvat estate and its income is the contribution of the Chairman. Still he is striving hard for achieving higher standards in education.

The Chairman was felicitated and honoured for his long and dedicated services by Ramjas Foundation in 2003 and Ramjas College in 2004.
